Hunza
Hunza is mountainous valley in extreme North of Gilgit Baltistan bordering with China and Wakhan corridor of Afghanistan. It was princely state in a subsidiary alliance with British India from 1892 t0 1947. Now it is one of he developed part of Gilgit-Baltistan. There is 90% education both male and female and the people are advanced than any other part. There are three language(dialects) spoken in the valley Broshaski in the central Hunza, Shina in the lower Hunza and Wakhi in the upper Hunza Gojal. Karimabad is known as the capital as well as the most tourist destination of Hunza. The valley is as famous as its beauty with peaceful inhabitants who are well-known for their friendliness and hospitality. The tourist season from March to October gives it more beauty and source economy.
Visiting fairy-tale like castle of Baltit, above Karimabad, is a landmark built about 900 years ago, in 2004 tentatively enlisted UNESCO’s World Heritage. After visit of Baltit Fort, we go on walking along Barbar irrigation channel with striking view of Karakoram mountains adds more essence to our journey. Visit to traditional Hunza home, Altit Fort and Duiker. We will witness the mesmerizing sunset view at Eagle’s Nest Duiker and an awe-inspiring view of Hunza. Duiker is situated at an altitude of 2935 meters high above sea level. There are many short walks and long treks in the valley for adventure lovers. The view of some of the above 7000m from the windows of your hotel room adds to the joy of your holidays.
